I'm Daniel McCall, a tech-savvy people person in Charlotte, NC.
I run the day-to-day of a boutique fitness studio, coach and develop its people, and build software that helps the whole thing run smoother. Whatever the job title, the work is the same: I build bridges. Between people and technology, between people and people, and between people and what they're capable of.
One builder, three bridges
The bridge between people and what they're capable of.
Certified Lightyear Leadership coach. I've been helping people start big projects and finish strong since 2006: solo entrepreneurs, small teams, and now a studio full of coaches and front-desk staff. Today that looks like hiring, auditions, and mentoring new instructors, teaching Lagree and yoga myself, and holding the hospitality bar high enough that members can feel it.
The bridge between people and people.
General Manager (Member Experience & Operations) at Strength + Wellness Collective, a boutique strength and Lagree studio. The visible work is billing, payroll, scheduling, retail, communications, campaigns: if it connects a studio to its people, it crosses my desk. The real work is building an intentional culture, one where members feel known, wins get celebrated out loud, and coaches love where they work. SWC is the second Charlotte studio I've run.
The bridge between people and technology.
I'm not a trained software engineer, and I don't pretend to be. I'm something a small business often needs more: someone who spots a problem and builds a working tool for it, fast. With modern, AI-assisted tooling I've built software that takes friction out of the operation: dashboards on top of our booking data, staff and hiring apps, signage, campaign pages, payroll tools, all maintained by me, all used daily.
Case study: Gain Games
May 2026. Forty-seven members, seventeen teams, thirty-one days. Show up to class and your team scores. Cheer a teammate on, score. Bring a friend, score. Tag the studio on Instagram or drop a Google review, screenshot it, score again. Suddenly a 6am Tuesday wasn't just a class, it was points on the board and bragging rights.
You could feel it in the building: live standings on the lobby TVs, achievements unlocking all month, and a shoutout wall running between classes where members hyped each other's PRs and cheered every win. The morning after the final whistle, every player woke up to their own Wrapped, a Spotify-style recap of their month. Then we threw a party to crown the champions.
The whole brief from Craig was "a team challenge for the members." I ran with it: designed the experience end to end and built the app that ran it. Every bridge on this page, in one month.

The actual software the team uses every day, with real members' data behind it. Nothing here is a demo.
Where the leadership team goes for the numbers: automated ingest from the booking system into dashboards, membership analytics, sales tracking, and class-milestone detection.
Job postings, applications, and an admin pipeline with per-applicant contact logs. Took coach hiring from a shared inbox to a system.
Front-of-house staff app: shift coverage, daily runbooks, and the operational knowledge that used to live in one person's head.
Password-gated photo library with usage guidelines built into the front door, so partners get the right files and the right rules together.
Landing pages for membership campaigns, run club, pop-up events, and studio announcements. Each one concepted, designed, shipped, and measured in days, not weeks.
My own budgeting and planning apps, built exactly the way I wanted them. I live in them every day, which keeps me honest about what "good enough" really means.
How it gets made: modern AI-assisted tooling, a stubborn streak, and a clear picture of who it's for. Every app on this list exists because someone on the team needed it.
The people part
He's kind of the backbone of the whole team.
